Video: Birth of Mercedes’ Ocean Drive concept

Mercedes wowed Detroit with its Ocean Drive convertible sedan concept and if you’ve ever wondered what it takes to get a work of art like that car built, Mercedes put together a minute and a half video that takes the viewer from design sketch to rolling concept.
There are shots of the car’s chrome grille being handmade, the LEDs being placed into the headlights, the seats being stitched and even footage of the mule running on the track. The video isn’t detailed enough that you could build your own high-dollar concept car (for example, it doesn’t cover the drug running and money laundering knowledge needed to fund the job), but it’s a fun behind-the-scenes glance.
